We hope you are enjoying a great start to the week!
This Sunday, we celebrate all the dads and father-figures in our lives. If you’re at a loss for how to make Father’s Day special, we have some ideas to match the times.
Play a Round
Golf is back in action and perfect for safely enjoying an activity with Dad. The fairways offer plenty of space for social distancing and long rounds allow time for chatting. You don’t have to be part of the PGA tour to have fun hitting the ball around. Be generous with mulligans, play best ball, and maybe even have a beer while you’re at it. Just show Dad a good time.
Hit the Trail
We can all use an outdoor adventure right now, especially dads. A nice long hike on Sunday might be the ideal way to celebrate this special day. Choose a favorite trail or find a new one that offers beautiful views and potentially some exciting twists and turns. AllTrails, Hiking Project, and TrailLink are helpful resources for locating the ideal path.
Go for a Bike Ride
There’s nothing quite like the feeling of freedom associated with riding a bike. If your dad likes to don a funny outfit and navigate the streets or the mountains on two wheels, ask if you can join him this weekend. If he was the person who weaned you off of your training wheels, imagine what a full circle moment this would create. Nothing like a little nostalgia on a holiday.
Catch an Outdoor Flick
Movies are always more exciting under the stars. If you have a projector, set up a backyard theater. Screen one of his favorites and put together an array of his go-to movie snacks. If you have a drive-in theater in your area, consider buying tickets to one of their features instead. Remind him that Brad Pitt and Quentin Tarantino made drive-ins cool again.
Have a Game Night
Now is a great time to break out Monopoly, Clue, Settlers of Catan, or another board game. Competitive dads are always down for a game night. Put together a nice spread of snacks and drinks to lighten the mood, and then get into it for a few hours. If you haven’t been quarantining together, arrange to play games via video conference. It’s also a way to include the whole family in the fun.
Do you and your dad bond over music? Spend some time on Sunday sharing your favorite songs, albums, and musicians. Chances are you will find new stuff to add to your personal playlists. If you both think better with an instrument at your fingertips, try to set aside some time to play together in person or via Zoom.
Whatever you do on Sunday, remember to show the dads out there a good time. And if you’re looking for the perfect gift, take advantage of our Father’s Day phone sale for an iO Pro 3D with free ROKiT bluetooth headphones for just $149.99. That’s a deal that any dad can get behind. Have a wonderful Father’s Day!
